Our view of “creation of new sake culture” means to seek a deliciousness of sake and how to enjoy sake. If we produce sake which everyone feel tasty and enjoy, it is already beyond the concept of sake. What we are particular about is not category or style of sake but the smile of people drinking our sake. We challenge to produce sake making everyone happy.
Challenge to meet the demands of the present time.
With our series of “Aragoshi product,” we have established a sake-based liqueur market. In fact of this establishment of new market, we gained attentions from the sake industry. Using this experience, we are working on the sake brewing with an eye on the future.
Keep what we have to keep.
It is our duty to transmit the time-honored sake culture to posterity.
Sake is indispensable to Japanese traditional event such as “Ohanami (Cherry Blossom Viewing)”, “Otsukimi (Moon Viewing), and New Year’s day. However, it is true that we are losing the sake culture and sake brewing skill due to sake avoidance in the young generation and their western culture respect. Umenoyado brewery will protect the sake culture and transmit it to posterity.
Keep the traditional method to remind our customer of the history and land of Nara.
We brew our sake with artisan’s skill acquired over the years and rice harvested in our partner’s fields and polished at our brewery and ground water from Mt. Katsuragi. Like Yamahai method, Kimoto method, and Nararyu-Godan studied and resurrected from an ancient writing, we maintain the traditional brewing method that requires time and effort. By maintaining this sake brewing, we will transmit our sake and style to posterity.

During this hard time of sake business, our team’s challenge spirit has being sustaining Umenoyado brewery. That is our iron will turning impossibility into possibility, our positive attitude facing up to a goal, and unflagging enthusiasm. Our team’s spirit is Umenoyado’s valuable property.

At Umenoyado brewery, there are staffs to converse about the sake brewing with customers and pursue their career as an evangelist of the sake culture. The fundamental is to improve the relationship with customers. Because we keep this fundamental, Umenoyado brewery and customers are tied together.

On the other hand of keeping the tradition, it is important to produce sake which is favorable to the young generation. To accomplish this and create unprecedented sake, we have a laboratory to carry out a research and development. Our new brand “Sanpuca” is the first step of this journey.
Based on the skill cultivated throughout the history, we challenge to develop new product.
Based on the skill acquired from the sake brewing, we have started to work on new product for the young generation. One of examples is our series of “Aragoshi product.” Because we have a solid brewing technique, we can produce new products with using sake. We will produce new product more and surprise the market more.
Seek for better facility.
In order to make our product line more quality, we are now planning to build a new brewery. At this new brewery, we challenge the sake brewing ahead of the times and penetrate all the market in the world.
